Christology is not just the theology of who Jesus is. It's also the theology of how his death on the cross has meaning and purpose, and an explanation of why it was necessary for salvation. It's a theology that is properly guided and supported by scripture and tradition. Christological heresy, by contrast, either contradicts scripture, or renders the purpose and meaning of the cross incoherent, or both.
