I have been cautioned about taking any word that issues from Spectre's office with a grain of salt, yet a report from CNN.com, "Specter: Alito's personal views won't drive rulings," makes it clear that Alito's position on Roe v. Wade is anything but clear. If it is true that the judge's personal views, expressed in private memos, have no bearing on his judical approach, then how do his personal views relate to his personal views on judical philosophy?

Dictionary.com has a rather illuminating definition of the term "psychobabble." Given here, they define it as
Language characterized by the often inaccurate use of jargon from psychiatry and psychotherapy: “Discussions... sometimes... consist of consciousness-raising psychobabble, with the students' feelings and experiences valued as much as anything the professor or texts have to offer” (Karen Lehrman).
