The term "subsidiarity" is relatively recent in human history. It's definition and application to governmental structures and operations are highly controversial. I gave a talk on this matter during the 2019 LifeTech Conference.

Dr. Jordan Bernt Peterson and Benjamin Aaron Shapiro delve into the ancient foundations of western civilization, beginning with the oldest surviving civilization, that of the Jewish people. On April 24th, 2024, Fr. Greg Konerman and I joined Joseph and Jennifer Korte aboard Jenny's "True Joy" Bus. While we were there, we concelebrated Mass. (I'm a few years older than Greg and not in as good physical shape, so I stumbled a bit while genuflecting.)

"St. Paul proclaims Christ Crucified, foolishness to Gentiles, but to those who are called, the wisdom of God."

The video of her song cites 2nd Chronicles 7:14... "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

In chapter 2 of the Book of Genesis, God warns Adam and Eve: "You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die."

This claim is, of course, problematic on at least two points: (1) the first clause is contradicted by the second, and (2) Adam and Eve do become subject to the law of death, but they do not die on the day they eat of that fruit. They might have, instead, been stated thus:
